Our upper leg wax includes all of the upper leg up to the hip bone. It’s best to wear briefs or tight fitting underwear for this appointment so that they do no get in the way during the service. We will try our best to blend in the line, but if you’ve a lot of hair on your legs it’s usually best to book in for the full leg wax.
For your leg wax we will cleanse the skin, and apply a very small amount of oil to protect the skin. We use strip wax for this service but the wax is so thin it is still very comfortable and does not irritate skin like traditional honey waxes of the past. The wax is removed with strips, and any residue is removed with a post wax soothing oil.
It’s important to avoid wearing tight fitting clothing to your appointment as this might irritate the skin after your waxing service. This includes gym leggings, skinny jeans and tights. We recommend something cotton and loose fitting so skin can breathe. This will help to prevent ingrown hairs and other skin irritation that can sometimes occur with waxing if the correct aftercare is not followed.
We recommend waxing this area every 4-6 weeks. For legs it can take a few sessions to get a complete smooth result. While some clients may be smooth on their first visit, most clients will take 3-4 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart to see the best results.
After your waxing please keep your legs out of the sun (artificial or natural) for 24 hours. It’s also important to avoid exercise, steam rooms, swimming pools and perfumed products for 24 hours.
We recommend the use of the Lycon Oil Free Body Exfoliators. These scrubs can be used 2-3 times a week to keep skin soft and supple without leaving an oily residue which can clog pores and cause breakouts. If your skin is on the dry side we also have matching moisturisers. Having the correct home care routine will make a big difference in your results and keep legs soft and silky for as long as possible.
